GLOURIOUS GIFT BOXES

For Tonia's present I had found an extra chunky pink pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings that was the easy part but I just couldn't find the right box to put them in. When I was at Robert's craft store I found this brown scalloped chipboard box, with a few changes I knew it would work perfect for her fabulous new pearls. I started out by painting the inside pink, then I painted the top and bottom dark brown. (I left the sides of the box the original cardboard brown) After the paint dried it was time for MP&G and a little scrapbook paper. I needed a little more then just solid glitter for this project so I covered the lid top and sides with scrapbook paper. I did add a solid ring of glitter along the edge of the lid. Now as you can see, tissue paper would have worked just fine to sit those great pearls on, but I had to think of something a little Over The Tipsy Top instead, and pink cotton candy was the first thing to come to mind! I topped it all off with tulle, ribbon and a glittered chipboard "T" outline. I hope this sounds easy and fun to do because it truly was, so the next time you have a gift to give make the outside just as fabulous as what's inside. These chipboard boxes are at all craft stores, they come in a variety of sizes and shapes!
Happy Gift Giving!!!!
Love, The Tipsy Girls

Love it dearly, specially the oversized pearls, and too bad you painted the inside of the box, she could have eaten the cotton candy, whatevvv- I would still eat it )

It was even better in real life. I have always said that you can give a dumb present ( which this WAS NOT) if it wrapped great! This was a great gift and a great wrapping! TOO CUTE!

Cute creation Marla! I do believe Martha (Tonia) has met her match. I would love to be a fly on the wall when you two are brainstorming!

Are you kidding me? I think that I need to see the real thing if I ever want to make something that even comes close. I would have never thought of something so great. You've done it once again.

What a great present, thanks for spoiling Tonia, she deserves it. You two never run out of great ideas. All I gave her was DAVID ARCHULETA!!!
